Scanners Update - August 2010

Our most popular scanner since launching hot.com.au has been the Epson V700 Flatbed Scanner, and it's little surprise as to why. This is the professional choice for digital imaging work, featuring a Dual Lens System and an integrated transparency unit with support from Epson Australia. I think I also spotted the iconic design of the V700 in last week's Law and Order, and if the actors that play New York's finest are using it, it must be a good scanner!

The Microtek FileScan 1600XL continues to be a popular A3 flatbed scanner offering great performance at an unbeatable price point. Set at 200dpi the FileScan 1600XL can process a colorful A3 document in less than 3 seconds, letting you easily scan oversized originals, contact sheets, large pieces of art and mechanical blueprints quickly.

A popular choice for those who travel but still need quality scanner equipment handy continues to be the excellent Canon P150 Portable Document Scanner. The Canon P150 is a portable scanner that can be folded down to just 42 x 282 x 98mm, and despite this small size, the P-150 is a fully-functional duplex sheet-fed document scanner, capable of batch scanning up to 20 sheets at a time with a speed of 15ppm.

The Canon ScanFront 220P Document Scanner is an easy-to-use networked document scanner that plugs directly into your office network. The 220P will let you scan directly to one or more shared PC folders, email addresses, FTP servers or even to a USB memory drive.
